Promoting the launch of the magazine

The magazine will be launched not only in print form but also via the Internet. Students will get and email to say that when the magazine date launch will be and all the information about the first issue and what they can fins within the magazine. Also there will be adverts around the college of all the information that the magazine will give. With it being launched on the Internet, the link to the magazine will be on the moodle homepage and therefore whenever a student wants to go on the Internet they will be able to see the advert for the new magazine if they see it often enough they will remember the date and hopefully either buy a copy or read it online.

With it being both on the Internet and in printed form there is a slight worry that because it is free to read on the Internet that the students would rather read it on the Internet and not buy a printed copy. However with the printed copy students will be able to get free gifts with it. In the first issue you can get a free revision tips poster which you cannot get on the Internet version of the magazine. Also with the printed version there will be money off coupons on the back page of the magazines for future Wyke parties so students can therefore get their tickets cheaper.

With the magazine launched in two different forms this will gain a larger reading audience and therefore students who read the magazine on the Internet may decide to buy the printed version for that weeks free gift. This may gain a profit for the magazine.
