Language: The language used in this contents page are the titles of the articles and the references of where to find them. With the article titles, some of them are quite simple and state what you would expect to see on the page, however some show a different side, such as: "The Quatro with John Kerrison". When researching this I found that it is a regular feature about the current news of the time. This is quite an interesting article as it is someones viewpoint in current issues to do with music. The page title show you what the current issue if the magazine is and tells you it is a contents page.

Ideology: The ideology behind this contents page is to show what the magazine has to offer in terms of articles and artists. It tries to offer a wide selection of bands and artists within the particluar genre to appeal to a potential buyer and also with the inclusion of the regular articles, tries to gain customer loyalty.
Audience: The audience for the magazine would be teens to twenties. I can see this because when researching the magazine I found that you can pick up a copy at various, popular nightclubs in Hull, and also at the University, whihc to me says that it targets the younger age group. Also, lesser known bands, the younger people tend to know a lot more about them than older people as the use of social networking sites and youtube become widly used.
Representation: The representation of this contents page is to show that the most important article is the one that is shown on the front cover, but also is shown by the image on the contents page as the image is the most dominant of the page.
